Privacy Policy

You will by now be fed up with emails asking you to opt in or out.  Annoying, but necessary and a great time to clear up that bulging inbox!

I don't email clients unless they email me and we are planning a wedding or family shoot together.  In the future I may have a mailing list - in which case you’ll be asked to opt-in and won’t receive any information from me without your consent.

If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, you’ll be kept up to date with my images anyway and we'll probably be chatting online all fine.

When you contact me and we start corresponding (I do adore a letter, so feel free to send me some snail mail and I will totally find something lovely to post back to you!) then I will have your data on file.

The data that I collect will be your names, email, phone numbers (if you’ve supplied it), the venue and the date the wedding’s happening or if you’ve asked me to come to your house for a meeting or a portrait shoot, I’ll have a record of your address too.

I will never sell these on to any third parties, I simply need this information to ensure I don't make your separated inlaws pose together for photos and that I know the name of your great nan and that I treat her with the respect she deserves.

Email addresses are kept so that I can contact you with regards to your shoot and let you know that your photos will be winging their way to you!

Phone number is so that I can call you in the run up to the wedding to go over all of the details and make sure I’m in the right place at the right time.

Venue and wedding date are self explanatory - I want to be in the right place on the right date!

Address – I’ll need this to either get to the shoot if that’s where we’re meeting or this is where you have booked your sitting and I’ll need it (and will confirm it beforehand) to send the final USB package to you about 3-4 weeks after the wedding.

All of the information I collect is stored on my Computer.  It's safe and GDPR compliant.

If you’d like me to delete your information after the wedding, that’s absolutely no problem at all, just drop me a line and let me know and quicker than a flash, it’ll be gone.

My online gallery company, is also GDPR compliant.  I’m very confident that your photos are safe there and are always password protected, as are your slideshows, which are stored online with Vimeo.

Your photos are kept on my computer while I work on them and stored in two external hard drives for at least a year after the wedding.

If you choose not to go ahead and book me as your wedding photographer,  I will delete all of your information after 3 months

If you’re wedding sounds utterly amazing, you’ll probably get an email from me about a week after I’ve sent the primary reply asking if you got the information I sent and checking that you don’t have any questions.

I don’t spam you and you can ask me to delete your data at any time, although it’s much easier to get back to me with a simple, thanks but no thanks and you’ll not hear from me again.

After the wedding, I get super excited for you to see some photos and I’ll sneak a peek on Facebook and Instagram for you, if we’re friends on Facebook, I’ll tag you so you can see this pic – a lot of my couples share this photo on their own timeline and I’m thrilled when they do.

About 6 months after the wedding, I blog a few of my favourite images from your day.  I do this so that I can share my work with future clients, show how stunning you looked and assure people that I’m a real photographer, whose been busy capturing memories with beautiful images.

When future couples enquire I may send them a link to that blog, especially if they’re getting married at the same venue.

Occasionally, I get a wedding blog or magazine enquire with me about featuring your wedding – I get super excited when this happens as it’s almost impossible to get a wedding featured nowadays and I usually get a very happy email from my couples when they get this offer as it reminds them of this amazing day that they worked so hard for and enjoyed so very much and they can’t wait to show the world their fabulous day.

You do of course, have the option to not have your images shared online (sneak peeks, online galleries, blogged and submitted to publications) and you can make me aware of that in the contract you’ll complete at the time of booking.

That’s about it for the privacy policy, I completely understand that your privacy is of utmost importance to you, as it is to me.  I endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, I cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and I will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to my negligence or wilful default.

If you have any questions about GDPR or my privacy policy, or if you think I may have your details and you’d like me to remove them, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at

I don't use these as yet...but this is how they work
